Safety management system
This training covers the rules and requirements that must be met to ensure the effective operation of the SMS. The programme is developed in line with EC Regulation No 139/2014.
Purpose of the training: during the training, the participant becomes familiar with the requirements of the SMS manual and binding regulations in terms of their duties, tasks, and responsibilities.

Term of validityHaving completed the theoretical test, the participants receive a training certificate, which is valid for 2 years.

When do I have the recurrent training?Enrolment in the recurrent training is possible within the last 3 calendar months before initial certification expires (the new period begins at the end of the initial period). If the employee has been absent for 6 to 12 months, they must undergo recurrent training; for 12 or more months, they must undergo the initial training.

Eva Heislere
Eva is responsible for managing the airport employee professional qualification (testing) process, for compliance with training standards in the context of airfield maintenance, traffic management, and emergency management processes, and for the compliance of the training programmes with EC regulations.
She develops and teaches training programmes covering binding procedures at the airfield, human factor, airfield maintenance and traffic management processes. Eva participates in the development of EASA Together4Safety training aids, and in Airports Council International (ACI) projects. She has worked to implement the ACDM (airport collaborative decision-making) project at Riga Airport, and on the certification of its airfield. She has professional knowledge in the implementation of the safety management systems (SMS), in human factor (HF), fatigue management (FM), emergency management, as well as knowledge of the European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) legal regulations gained at ACI, IATA, ICAO, Airsight training centres.
